Be Energy signs MOU for by-products R&D

CEO of Be Energy Greg Bowman has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with €13 billion forestry giant UPM Biofore (www.upmbiofore.com) and the University of Saskatchewan (www.usask.ca) for the research and development of advanced organic, bio based animal feed from future renewable diesel production facilities by-products. Currently, organic and bio based products are sold in the EU to aid in the elimination of antibiotics and hormone additives in livestock. Initial testing has shown the growth of healthier, more robust livestock producing a healthier and cleaner product for human consumption. Be Energy CEO Greg Bowman stated “We are excited about the program and partnership which is in line with our goal of providing clean and renewable products that have a positive impact on global health and sustainability”.
